Coin Storage Guide

  • Use non-PVC coin flips (Mylar/polyester) or hard plastic capsules
  • Never clean coins: cleaning destroys value and surfaces
  • Handle coins by the edge, never touch the face
  • Store in low humidity (below 50%) and stable temperature
  • Use silica gel packets in storage containers
  • Avoid cardboard 2x2 flips for long-term storage (acid damage)
  • Consider professional grading (PCGS, NGC) for valuable coins
  • Keep an inventory with photos for insurance purposes
